Last Updated — October 21, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Syntaxa collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

a. Account Information: Email address, name, organization, and login credentials when you create an account.

b. Usage Data: Interactions with the CLI, API calls, error logs, and session analytics used to improve product performance.

d. Technical Data: Device identifiers, IP address, browser type, and operating system used for performance and security monitoring.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

• Operate and improve the Syntaxa platform
• Generate AI-powered documentation and insights
• Maintain security, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance
• Communicate updates, product changes, and support messages
• Analyze aggregate usage trends to improve user experience

We never sell user data or use your code for model training without explicit consent.

3. Data Storage and Retention

Data is stored securely in encrypted databases (PostgreSQL and Redis) hosted in trusted cloud infrastructure.

We retain data only as long as necessary to provide the Services or comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting privacy@syntaxa.ai.

4. Third-Party Services

Syntaxa integrates with third-party AI and infrastructure providers, including:

• OpenAI, Anthropic, VoyageAI for LLM processing
• GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket for repository integrations
• AWS, GCP, or equivalent for secure hosting
• forms.app for the embedded contact form on our website (may process the contact details you submit and set its own cookies)

These providers process data under strict contractual and confidentiality obligations.

5. Security

Syntaxa uses end-to-end encryption, isolated worker execution, access logging, and least-privilege IAM policies. All processing of code occurs in secure environments instrumented for observability and traceability.

6. Data Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your data
• Request a copy of your stored data
• Opt out of analytics tracking
• Withdraw consent for data processing

Requests can be submitted to privacy@syntaxa.ai. We will verify identity before fulfilling any request.

7. International Transfers

If you access Syntaxa from outside the United States, you consent to transferring and processing your information in the U.S. or other regions where Syntaxa operates, with appropriate safeguards in place.

8. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies and local storage for login sessions, product analytics, and performance optimization. The embedded contact form on our website is provided by forms.app, which may set its own cookies when the form is displayed. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may limit functionality.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect product or legal changes. The date above will always indicate the latest revision.
